How do I solve a quadratic equation on TI- 89 graphing calculator?
Posted by: raysmithtx Post date: December 4th, 2009I have TI- 89 Titanium graphing calculator and I know that some people use it to solve quadratic equations quickly. How? Also if you have any tips about other cool stuff it can do let me know. Thanks.

I have a TI 89 regular, not the titanium, but hopefully this could help…
1. Press the “catalog” button, and find “solve(” (you have to scroll down a lot). Once you see “solve(” then hit enter.
2. Enter the equation, and then press the comma button, then enter what variable you are trying to solve for.
Example: solve(2x^2+3x+6=0, x)
3. Hit enter, and you’ll have the answer!

On the Home screen press f2, and enter.
on the entry line there should be solve()
to use solve in between the parentheses (equation, variable to solve)
